We had our engagement party at the end of July and I sent out thank you's for all the gifts the following 1-2 weeks (I had to get addresses from FIs parents).
Well, last night at dinner FMIL asked me "Did you send a thank you card to Phyllis?" And I said yes because I remembered what she got us exactly and I have an Excel sheet with all the gifts received and notes sent. FMIL's friend "Nancy" told her Phyllis told Nancy "I wonder if Amy got my gift, I didn't get a card." FMIL told her friend "of course she sent one she is very on top of those things" -- I'm so embarrassed because I have worked so hard to write really thoughtful, timely notes to everyone.
So I emailed FMIL the address I have for Phyllis (to double check) but I think I should send a SECOND thank you card... has this happened to anyone else? Any tips on how to word the note because I don't want her to think I forgot about it until />6 months after I got the gift .... Should I just ignore it and send a second regular Thank you note?
