Sorry ladies, life has been crazy. FI and I are off this week and up in Michigan (where our wedding will actually be) so now that we're 6 months out we are trying to get a lot accomplished.
-Talked to our "Pie Lady" (no cake for us) and got prices. Tried to make an appointment but with the holidays things are crazy there. We'll have to wait til January or February to book this but that's okay.
-Florist is essentially booked. This was a really hard one for us because we were torn between heart and head. We ended up going with a more expensive florist that we LOVED and are confident that we will get great service from and beautiful and unique flowers. Just need to send in our deposit.
-Invites are being worked on. I found a design I really like on Wedding Paper Divas (we did our STDs through them) and actually can get some pretty good deals. FI is in shell-shock because we originally hadn't budgeted for reply cards, thank you cards, etc. We will also meet this week with a lady at the florist because we get a discount so we will see.
-We started registering today! Macy's. Overwhelming. All we ended up scanning was towels lol.
-I finally got on Pinterest!! How fun!! I'm getting lots of ideas
-I picked up FI's wedding band! It looks really good but despite the fact that we got him sized like 4 times, it is a little small. We are going to have to take it in and get that fixed.
NWR:
-FI's grandpa (his only living grandparent) is not doing well at all. He is day-to-day and probably won't make it though the week
I feel horrible, especially with Christmas. Last year FI and I both lost a grandpa right around Thanksgiving, within 2 days of each other. It's been a bad couple of years around the holidays.
-I'm in my Fantasty Football championship! Super exciting because it's my first year ever playing! 10 teams and I'm on top. Awesome.
-FI and I are joining a bowling league! Starts after the new year
