Stupid Cake

When I went to our local grocery store in October to ask about our wedding cake. They said it would be really easy and no problem delivering. The wouldn't do the reservation yet and said come back a few months before. So we went Sunday to order the cake and they changed their policy.. they no longer deliver. We can't get into the venue until 2:00 and I don't trust anyone who we don't need for pictures at 2:00 to get it.

So now we are trying to find a baker... the first three we tried are already booked up that day

I wished you lived closer by so I could give you some recommendations. I would check out your local board - it might be as dead as mine is, but it's at least a place to start.

Oh that is so unfair!! I hate when stores change their policies when you're really depending on something! I hope this works out for you, keep us updated.

Did you talk to the manager about it? I'd think they might deliver it for you if they know you had already agreed to it back in October. That's really unfair that they changed their policy.

That stinks! The lady that was going to do my cake is now going on vacation the week prior to our wedding. I tried another place that I've heard good things about, but can get anyone to return my call.

Maybe try another store, alot of the big chain grocery stores do nice wedding cakes and they deliver. I don't know what stores you have there but we have City Market and Safeway and they both do nice cakes and deliver.
