Whoa. Stop Motion Wedding Photography

I was poking around online and came across this link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqUwUvpigwE

The site brings up a flash page (warning - there's music), and under the stop motion heading, there's 2 videos posted. I've never seen anything like it and I'm kind of jealous that our photographers can't do this.

Do any of your photographers offer this?! I assume it would cost an arm and a leg - but WOW!! I kind of felt like I was watching the 2 couples IRL. It captures something that I don't think typical wedding photography could ever catch in a different and more creative way than typical video. Really beautiful and it blew me away.

ETA: I changed the link from the actual website to the youtube video in case anyone is worried about spammy links.

  • It kind of made me sick to my stomach, lol. It was jerky. But it was definitely different and very creative. It kind of reminded me of old school movies. I had no sound on so to me it was a silent movie :)

  • It's not that hard to do. You can either set your camera to shoot less frames per second or you can do it in the edit. I'm not a fan of overly stylized videos though, they get dated REALLY fast.

  • It's a cute idea, but like PP it made me sick to watch. Why not just get a videographer?
  • As a photographer I would definitely charge an arm and a leg for this. Usually my brides get 500-700 images of their day and that video probably has 5000+. That's ALOT of work to edit all of those photos.

But, all in all, i'd rather have a videographer.
