Help W/ Potential Hairstyles For Big Ears(lots of pics)

I was going to post this on the Hair 411 board, but I'm always on this one and I trust you all to give me honest input. The first picture is the most current of FI and me (actually our STD picture). My hair will be the same color and length for the wedding. The link is of my dress on the model. You can't tell in the photo but it's ivory lace over light gold. The pics that follow are potential hairstyles I'm thinking of. 

I'm really self concious about my ears because they poke out (think Despereaux the Mouse). I really love the side ponytail look, but I'm not sure how that will work with my veil, detailing on the dress, etc. Didn't get the veil in the pic with the model, but mine is a plain ivory elbow length, single tier. Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated!!! Thanks ladies!

I like all of them.. first one is my fav.
But if you are worried about your ears (and I am sure they are fine)  I would go with the last one. Seems like it covers up her ears a little and still has the side pony you like.

I definitely understand where you are coming from!  I have ears that stick out too, and make me super self-conscious.  

Taking the ears into consideration, I like the last one the best.

Looking at the picture of your dress and knowing that you want to hide your ears I'd say go with the last picture.  I think it will look great.

I think the second style would really go well with your dress, and provide some ear coverage! It's soft and romantic.

I understand your problem.  I have elf ears that stick out all the time!!  I'm so glad you posted this .. definitely seeing more options now

Not a problem! I really wanted something "wedding-esque" like an updo. That's why I love the Nina Dobrev updo pic. I was wondering if I could combine it with the loosely set bangs like Lea Michele to cover my ears. I'm having issues trying to figure out how to pair my veil with the side ponytail without it looking strange.

Thank, Meg! I ran through the potential hairstyles with FI (without giving away dress details, of course). He opted for the last hairstyle as well. Now, I just have to figure out veil placement and what type of hair clip to use. All of the hair clilps I've found have been too pricey for my taste and I'm thinking on wearing my veil the entire night, so I was toying with the idea of making a DIY comb with pearls and other beading, since it's just plain right now.

I would look at pictures of Kate Hudson at events. She's known for having big ears, so you could look and see what types of styles worked for her and which ones didn't.
