We're going to have about 25 tables at our reception, so in an effort to lower the cost of our flowers we're going to have candle centerpieces on about 10 of the tables. I found this photo the other day while doing a search and fell in love with it:

Instead of renting the candle holders through the florist or my coordinator, I just purchased a few sets of these candles, which came out to a pretty good price per candle holder and will definitely save us some money!:

I'm also going to order some of these little cylinders (the two sizes on the right) after I get home from St. Maarten to go in place of the silver cylinders in the picture (one of our colors is pink):

One question: I like the look of the flowers in the picture, but the whole point of doing candle centerpieces was to reduce the cost of the florist bill. Would you think it would be weird/rude toward my florist if she provided the flowers for the tables without the candle centerpieces and I ordered my own flowers to go on the tables with the candles? Like in the picture, I'd like to do one peony stem in one cylinder and one hydrangea stem in the other. I've found an inexpensive online flower shop that I know would be less expensive than my florist. My DOC or her assistant would be the one to set up the candle centerpieces. What do y'all think?
