Yesterday I was watching some old wedding planning show on Netflix and they had these wedding planners come in basically last minute to put everything together and execute the wedding since it would have been a disaster otherwise.
It got me thinking that I have no idea what the actual role of the wedding coordinator at my venue is. I didn't even know if she'd actually be there on the day of our wedding to see that everything runs smoothly with the vendors.
Then, if she is there on the day, I wasn't sure if I still needed to hire a day-of coordinator to set-up decorations and what not.
I emailed the venue coordinator in somewhat of a panic last night. She wrote back this morning that she handles everything the day of including setting up centerpieces and all that good stuff.
