So, my wedding dress isn't high on my list of priorities, but I did start looking just for fun. I have been on David's Bridal's site several times since being engaged four weeks ago and I was right next to one (Southcenter, Washington) yesterday so I thought I'd go look at the real thing. I informed the greeter that I have made an appointment with a consulted in a couple of weeks but I just wanted to look at the real thing - she just pointed to my size. I found a dress that I liked and had some questions since it was marked down I wanted to know if that meant it was a discontinued dress. I told the lady THREE TIMES that I had some questions and after 20 minutes found another associate. It was a Monday, and their were many more associiates than customers in the store, but all the "consultants" were busy so no one could help me try on the dress, that was in fact discontinued so I would have to be quick if that was really the dress I wanted.
I am a plus size bride and had thought that I would buy my dress from David's because of their selection in my size and their reasonable prices. However, I am now more than happy to work with a local boutique and pay more. Other people told me not to go to David's and I sorely wish I had never considered this second-rate experience.
