Sorry I haven't been on in while girls. I'm moving to a new apartment and have been busy packing. 

But last night, FI dropped a bomb on me. 

Even though you ladies have known all of the problems he has had this year medically, he as a doctors appointment at the end of the month. If he passes that physically... he will be leaving with the military this summer, in hopes to come home in time for the wedding. 

Right now my head is spinning, and I may not be wedding planning until I know where he'll be and if it is a safe place.

I wish I knew what to say to you but I've never really been in that situation before. Just continue to support his decision and keep us posted. I hope he has a clean bill of health, but I know that what that means will be hard as well.

I always knew he would leave and I have been in a situation similar to this before, but with all the health problems he has had this past year... I worry. I mean, the thougts going through my head are "What if something happens?" and "Will he be okay to come back" But then I think about how the Army has great doctors, and he was told it will be a non combat zone. So, the good thing is he won't be getting shot at. The sad/scary thing...what if he doesn't come back for our wedding?

Then you push it back to a time when he can. He will be there, I promise! For the time being though just assume the date you have is your date. He should find out sooner than later if he'll be able to come back for that. You can deal with that when/if it comes.

Don't drown yourself in planning, but continue to plan for you and FI's day and enjoy it!

I'm glad to hear he won't be in a combat zone!

i totally agree with midg- our T & P are with you both, most importantly in the long run you just want to be together and both be healthy.  if you have to push it back, you will make it work :)  keep believing!!
