Hi ladies!
Currently our ceremony is at noon and our reception is at 5pm. This was not our choice timing-wise, but our reception venue double booked and we had to move everything. Noon was the only available ceremony time.
We are having water, soft drinks, and light snacks (cheese and crackers, etc) at the reception venue until 5pm for guests who have travelled, but the actual dinner reception and cocktail hour will begin around 4 or 5pm.
One photographer that I have talked to books their photography as continous hours. Ex, if the package says "8 hours" it is 8 continuous hours. I would like to split it because I don't want to waste time on photographs between the ceremony and reception. I know we will be taking bridal party pictures then, but it won't take 5 hours.
I just started trying to negotiate this with the photographer.
Have any of you done this? Are any of you having a gap between your ceremony and reception?
