I agree with simpler is better, not sure why you don't think so. Boy melissa aren't you just the creative one. I wish i had your thought process a little bit. 

I haven't done it just yet but i am going to the city today to pick up the supplies for my bouquets, that is it for now.

We finally got confirmation on our top choice resort for our honeymoon! We're going to Oyster Bay Beach Resort in St Maartin now just to book our flights!

I am supposed to meet with our DJ today to go over things and give him our deposit.  It's snowing out.  So we will see if the meeting gets postponed again.

It is! It's on a little jut of land that separates the ocean from a marina so pretty much every room has a water view. And the beach is right next to it and they provide you free snorkeling gear. With this snow and cold weather, I wish we were there right now! Haha.

I am going with my girls for lunch and the we are all going to the cake baker today! Snow or not, it's not going to change my plans (except that one may not be able to go because she has to plow)!

I just ordered the tie bars for the groomsmen and custom cuff links for my daddy (the "Father of the Bride" "I loved her first" ones all over pinterest!)

And, since Kelsey practically twisted my arms with how cheap the gray striped straws are, I'm going to buy them for the cocktail hour. We're already putting our pew flowers and tea lights in mini-mason jars on the tables in cocktail hour, so the straws will fit the "theme" in that room. Plus, I just LOVE taking on more DIY projects

Last night I ordered our C&P supplies to put together our invitations.

I also made wrap-around labels for our invitations.  I did them for all of the guests except 2 who may change their address prior to invites going out.  I did two different designs:

Today I should be receiving my veil and hair flower!  I'm so excited to see them!  I also plan to work on our address labels for the  response cards and our wedding program.

In a little bit I'm going with FMIL and my mom to look at dresses for my mom. FMIL just got hers, and now my mom says she can't make the decision without FMIL's input. I hope my mom is able to decide today!

We went to Jos. A Banks and finally picked the guys outfits yesterday! I am so excited. They are going to look so good next to the girl's dresses.The only 2 changes are the shoes are going to be brown and the suit color is the same as my inspiration picture

So I have been working on it all morning but I finally have my entire ceremony planned. I have picked all the songs, wording for the vows, ring exchange, sand ceremony, and the declaration of marriage. Now I just need to type it all up since I hand wrote all of it.

No full checks but it was still a productive day.  We went to Men's Wearhouse and I think we picked out what we want for the guys.  Not 100% yet.  We went to look at wedding bands and I found one I love but FI wants to keep looking for him so we didn't buy mine yet either.  Also, I'm 99% sure we picked our honeymoon spot...Majestic Elegance in P*nta Cana.  Now just to actually book these things and I'll feel even better!

I met with our priest for the first time today. Everything went super smoothly, thank goodness! I was a little worried because of FI living out of the country, but everything went great! Yay!

Did our cake tasting today. Boy do we have a sugar rush. We picked 3 different flavors and they are all delicious.

We officially booked our florist and gave deposit, she is amazing and is a friend of our decorator, to be honest I am not sure how she will be make any money off of us, it is so cheap!! But comes HIGHLY recommended! lol

Cake tasting went great! Once I have the pic from my MOH, I will upload it.
    It will be a 4-tier cake. Golden vanilla with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting.
    It will have the grey ribbon (for mercury color from DB) with purple flowers (Lapis from DB) cascading down the top 2 tiers.

I also picked up the cardstock needed to be able to make my escort cards that I did a mock-up of (see FB pics).

Overall, very productive day!
