If you get through this, I applaud you and I really reallllllly appreciate any comments you have!!
My hair trial is next Saturday, and I'm really struggling to pick a style. I have what most would consider long hair, past my shoulders when curly, and I do straighten it often. Because its very thick & curly, I have some special problems:
-Side bangs are out of the question
-"Baby hairs" are a real problem. These are little hairs that refuse to cooperate under most circumstances, and have a tendency to stick STRAIGHT UP (like antennae) when misbehaving.
-My hair has to be straightened the Thursday night before my Saturday wedding, since stylists prefer to work with somewhat dirty hair, however if it's curly, I have to put so much product in it that it'd be too dirty. Sometimes when its straightened, it doesn't hold a curl so well when it needs to be curled with a curling iron, because straightening it really changes the texture of my hair.
Originally I was thinking I'd do a half up/half down style to capture the best of both worlds, but now I'm concerned about a few things. Most half & half styles involve sidebangs, which I cannot do. I'm also worried that my hair will frizz up if I get too sweaty while dancing, or if its too hot out while we're doing pictures or anything. Another concern is the curls not staying curly, if it's all pinned up they pretty much WILL stay put. I alsoooo don't want a style that's too "in the moment" and I sometimes feel that a half updo isn't classic enough. And lastly, half updos cannnnn make some people look younger, and since I am young and LOOK young, I don't want to exaggerate the effect. I really like the sexiness of having some hair down though, I don't want to look too stiff.
The other option is obviously an updo, which is an issue because of the baby hairs. It is also an issue because I read that you should wear a style that is similar to what you wear every day because you're most comfortable with that - every day I wear my hair down. The other problemo with an updo is that I don't want to end up looking like I'm going to prom.

Ok, what do you think??? Again, sorry this is so long, I don't know who else to get this all out to, FI's pretty sick of hearing it and really is no help on this front, my mother & sister have a very different idea of "nice" than I do so I can't really ask them either. TIA!!!
