Let me preface this by saying I'm already a little stressed today...no sleep, PMS, and I'm trying to quit smoking (day 1).
In a previous post I mentioned that I couldn't start planning until my mom was done with my grandparents anniversary party in June. Some suggested that I book the venue on my own. So I called my #1 venue which is open June 9th (yay!!) But you have to rent the tables, chairs, tent, everything basically. They only provide the grounds. Well in order to get an accurate amount for the venue including rentals I need an estimate of the guest list.
So I called my mother to let her I know I need a rough draft. She acts like I should already know everyone, which I fine. I'll make that list.
Then I called my FI and let him know that I also need his parents to give me a rough list. Apparently his parents (divorced) have no intention of doing anything wedding related anytime soon. Sidenote: I'm not asking them to contribute in any way but I want their input in the guest list.
I can deal with not planning too much right now BUT I need to book the venue sooner rather than later and I need an idea of how many people we will be inviting in order to have an accurate dollar amount on paper. Is that really so much to ask??
