PSA: Jared deal

We went to Jared today to look for FI's ring and the saleslady told us about a great deal starting Monday. For every $200 you spend, you will get a gift cert worth $50 towards the purchase of another item. You can use one cert per $200 you spend on the second item. So for instance, if you need to buy your band, and it's $1000, you will get 5 certificates, and can use them to save $250 on another $1000 purchase (or whatever increments you'd like). I'm going to use the certs towards a watch for FI (his wedding gift).

I didn't ask if this was a local or national deal (I live in PHX) but I'm pretty sure it's national. Thought I would pass it along!

They had that same deal when FI and I bought our wedding bands but they gave us such a hard time because they told us it was "in stock" items only.. Well they had our rings just not our size and they only carry one of each ring! Ultimately after lots of argueing (because the flier said nothing about that) they gave us the deal!

We used a promotional deal at Jared's to buy FI's ring yesterday. Since we spent over $200, I got a free jewelry box and $50 off his band. Not bad! We didn't have any problems, FI "bought" the store model ring and will trade it in for his actual ring when it is ready.
