I think reading the wedding blogs is having a negative effect. I'm getting tired of things I thought were cute a few months ago.
Examples:
S'mores at the venue's fire pit - we first thought of it when we toured our venue in January. I've seen at at so many weddings that I'm over it.
Corn hole - another thing I thought of when I saw that our venue had a croquet set. I bought boards and have primed them..but I've seen them at so many weddings that I am not as excited about the project as before
Those are just two examples. I realize that my guests don't see wedding blogs and they will think these things are great, but the fact is that I think they are tired.
I can't quite the blogs. I love them too much.
But I am afraid to blog about my projects now for fear that they will be used by other locals who are getting married before me. That regional wedding magazine wants to shoot me doing some of my projects in the next couple weeks and I'm starting to feel territorial about them.
