I'm luke-warm.  New Moon was my least favorite book of the series.  And I liked reading all the books, but I was kind of disappointed in the first movie.  Ah, well, I will still find time to drive my silver Volvo Edward-style to the movie theater to watch it at some point!

I'm sure you aren't alone but I'm not with you! I read the first book, thought it was OK but too young for me. Went to see the movie--HORRIBLE. No more for me. Tongue out

The first movie was horrible and the second book was the worst. BUT, guess what i'm doing at 12:01? WATCHING NEW MOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think this movie is going to be a TON better. I am so freaking excited.

I agree the books were FAR BETTER than the movie. And the second book was slow but I long ago decided to separate the books from the movies.

Plus new moon looks way better quality than twilight and the new director added many new scenes to keep the suspense!! I do feel like a craddle robber watching jacob though :)

I'm interested. Apparently I'm alone on here on liking New Moon the best of the books. Probably because I could really get into it as the topic really matched my..um...really bad period of my life after the worst relationship and breakup. I hated the first movie because I expect the quality to be better than the movies I've worked on when I see it in a theater. The makeup sucked, I could have done a better job and I'm by no means a whiz. I just can't get over really, really bad technical problems that you are not to be blamed on budget. Yeah sure, the vampire skills were a little cheesy, but that's a budget thing. Having Edward with red arms because they forgot/didn't bother to put makeup on them?

Anywho, hoping to see it Thanksgiving weekend if we're back from Portland in time.

I am SO jealous!  I couldn't get tickets to go!  Not that FI would have let me anyways, seeing as I am sick and have been quarantined to the bedroom...BUT...I am with you ladies.  I HATED the first book and wasn't too impressed with the first movie...but I am sure that is just because of the low budget.  I just want to see the last 30 minutes of the movie cause that's when I won't be mad at Edward anymore.  HA!

Huh.  Apparently FI just told me that we could have gotten free tickets to the midnight showing tonight, because we just bought a Volvo...  Ah, well.  I'm too old to stay up that late!

I'm refusing to jump on the whole Twilight bandwagon just because... I'd have a feeling I'd be with Melissa on this one.

Also, I work for a Souvenir company and you wouldn't believe all the crap that we sell out at Forks now. We can't keep our Twilight merchandise in stock.

I very much enjoyed all of the books! though...I think I'm somewhat indifferent about the second one. It was good but not AS good as the first IMO.

I wish I could see the movie! but I will have to wait awhile as I'm still job searching so all the fun things are out for now. Have fun!!! don't give it all away after you go see it!!!!

I am a huge Twihard. I love all the books. I really hope this movie is better than the first one, but I guess it can't be much worse. I am going to the movie on Tuesday. I want to avoid the crowds, plus it is physically impossible to stay in a movie after midnight with out about 12 red bulls before hand.
