I'm working overtime today to try and get everything wrapped up in time for my vacation so I'm around, looking for entertainment.

What are you all up to?

Getting a pedi soon, but not soon enough. 

Waiting to hear from FI. His b-party was last night.

Nice! I've never gotten a pedi... way too ticklish. I once had a massage where she did my feet and my kneecaps and I thought I was going die. Never again hahaha.

FI's bach party is tonight. He doesn't drink, so he's going to sleep at a buddy's place and play zombie video games all night. Oh, and eat bacon. Very manly stuff. What did your FI do?

I'm here. Getting in overtime at work as well. I just realized that when I take the 2 weeks off, I'll be losing 5-8 hrs of overtime each week. It's a lot of money to be missing so I figured I'd make some of it up this morning.

I'm going for my first massage ever today at 2pm. What should I expect?
My b-party is tonigt too.

My overtime is mostly just to be sure that I leave the accounting cycle in a decent place to come back to, instead of screwing myself over after the week off. No extra $$, but paid time off in lieu (dollar for dollar, unfortunately).

Are you going for a relaxation massage or massage therapy?

My first massage ever was a relaxation massage during a work retreat. It was really nice and soft (other than the kneecaps and feet parts), and I left there in a bit of a relaxed daze.

The other 2 massages I've had done were with registered massage therapists (covered by insurance). The first was really nice and I could literally feel her rubbing the tension knots out of my back. As she rubbed out each one, there was a strange, pleasant, tingly feeling that accompanied it. I don't know how to describe it. My last massage sucked. It was a different girl and she would NOT stop talking about her kids. I love my kids too, but generally I go to get a massage to relax, not chit chat about my children's behavioural issues. She did a thorough job in having me describe my problem areas and giving me exercises at home to help, but I also had to ask her to ease up on the neck pulling quite a few times.

Words of advice: Don't be shy to speak up if there's something you don't like or that hurts!! Especially if it's a registered massage therapy. They tend to have a harder touch and can damage muscles if you don't tell them when it hurts. Have fun!!

A relaxation massage. FI got me a gift certificate for Christmas and I'm finally using it today.

We are having dinner at a chinese food restaurant then going back to a hotel suite. I know nothing else (if anything else is planned).

We can't go out to the bars and stuff because my niece/MOH is only 17. Hoping that people come up with some fun stuff to do at the hotel. I'm pretty sure there won't be a stripper there.

Well, that's always good. I think I would have been mortified. Mine only got as bad as inflatable penis decorations hanging from the ceiling and pin the "hose" on the "fireman" poster, which was good because FI's sister was there... could have gotten really awkward, really quick lol

You're right though, no double standards!! I think with girls it's usually different too... less sexualized, more comedy LOL. That's always how I pictured it anyway. Who knows, maybe they'll surprise you!

I'm eating breakfast and then we're going to move FI completely out of his apartment. His parents are taking some stuff back with them, and the rest is coming over here! We also need to move my brother out of here and into his apartment, which luckily, is in the same building!

My b-party starts at 6 tonight, so I'm hoping for two things: one, that I'll be feeling better (I've got a sore throat and stuffy head) and two, that it won't rain.

Hi girls!
I am waiting for FI to come home!  He's been in Arkansas for a whole week!  Once he's here tonight, we're going to a country bar to hang out with some friends (and so the girls can line dance). 
While I'm waiting for him, I'm going to be cleaning and getting my nails and toes done! 
I hope work goes by quickly for you, Raspberry!:)  Have fun at all of the bachelorette parties tonight, girls!

That's great you'll get to see your FI! Mine travels during the week for work, so I understand you're anticipation!

I'm kind of hoping work will go reeeeeally slow - like have time actually slow down for the afternoon. That way, I can get more done in less time and I could stop stressing about getting everything done in time!

I'm getting ready to head into work for overtime too! I only get one more paycheck before the wedding, so  I wanted to make it a good one. I'm supposed to work 3-11, but the charge nurse just called to tell me she might have to cancel me from 3-7... I hate going in for only 4 hours, but it's extra money so I can't complain too much

I'm working but it's super slow so I'm playing on FB and looking at pinterest. I tried to call the cleaners regarding how much they will charge to press my tableclothes that arrived in the mail yesterday. The lady could only give me a price if I wanted them cleaned as well. She said to call back Monday when the actual cleaning plant was open to find out the cost. Grrr....
