programs

How are you handling your programs?  Are you designating people to pass them out as they enter?  Will you have them in a basket or some other container?

Thanks for any suggestions!  I'm starting to enter panic mode and have completely lost my mind...

    We're having them in a basket as people enter the ceremony space.  We're having an outdoor wedding so we're doing bottled water as they enter as well.

    we are having my FI's older neices to hand them out and take any gifts that people might bring to the church ( if they aren't coming to the reception).

    We are putting them in a basket. I would have liked to put them on each chair but it's an outdoor wedding, no way they are going to stay put!

    We're having my 9-yr-old twin cousins hand out programs and help pick them up afterwards.  They wanted to do something for the wedding so badly and now they feel so important. :)

    We have to programs attendants (my 2 younger female cousins) that will be passing them out as guests are escorted to their seats.

    Our programs will be on our guest table. We will have a couple friends act as greeters and pass them out as well as encourage guests to sign our photo frames.

    We are having program attendants as well..... same as Kelsey- younger cousins.

    Same as others my younger nieces 12-15 yrs are handing them out, along with bubbles as people come past, we are having an outdoor wedding as well.

    They will be in a basket next to the guest book. We'll also have a guest book attendant so she'll probably pass some out

    I have a basket for them, but I am also going to have our sons' share the duty of handing them out and escorting people to their seats.

    If the weather isn't too windy, we'll place them on 2/3 of the chairs or something. I only made 120...people can share. We could always do a basket or have the ushers hand them out if its too windy.

    I've opted not to do programs. Wedding is outdoors and there isn't a good spot to have a basket for them and if we do the chair route I can see them getting blown away. Plus FI family situation is just complicated to work out on paper.

    That being said I like the idea of having someone; ushers etc  handing them out as well as a basket  filled with them.

    I just assumed we'd have the groomsmen pass them out as they seat people.  At a wedding I went to last summer this is what they did and it worked out fine.

    Will you give people their bubbles/rice/flower petals/whatever at the same time as the program, or figure out something else to distribute them at the end?

    I imagined my programs on a table with water bottles that have a personnalized label. Which would be located at the back (outdoors). I briefly talked to my site wedding coordinator and it seemed that they do not provide a table for this although I did not outright ask that. We left it that the groomsmen would hand them out but I'm still contemplating on asking for one even if I have to rent one. I'm also thinking it would look nice in the photos and my programs are already in a black box with a label, I think it would be awkard for a groomsmen to hold the box.

    With all that to say, if you want something simple get the groomsmen/ushers to hand them out or if indoors place them on the seat/bench.
