I don't like when there are little bits of toothpaste left in the sink. Also, FI doesn't know how to close cabinet doors quietly. That bothers me.

I'm late to the party this time but...

...why is the current "style" of some younger folks so sloppy looking? I was a few minutes early to work tonight so I was sitting in the breakroom enjoying a Diet Pepsi when I noticed one of the newer nurses come in (and by "newer" I mean just graduated because here I tecnically am new too, to the hospital). Her scrubs looked unkempt, her shoes looked old and ratty and her hair?...seriously it looked like she rolled out of bed and came to work. I keep seeing this more and more and it infuriates me like no other. YOU ARE A PROFESSIONAL, DRESS LIKE ONE. I know as healthcare professionals we are "lucky" because we get to wear laid-back, comfy scrubs as our uniforms, but there is a line, no, a GREAT WALL OF CHINA between getting to wear comfy scrubs and looking completely disheveled. And seriously? Brush your hair. And pull it back. Besides being annoying, it's an infection control risk. If I was a patient and that girl came in my room I would have laughed like, "No really, where is my nurse?"
