I worked on our ceremony music (about 90% done), FI has found some new rings he likes since we didn't get the original one he found a while ago, got our invitations (LOVE THEM), and updated the never ending check list.

-Escort cards are 80% completed. Just need some super glue to attach the center rhinestone in the flower and write them out (can't do that until I start getting response cards back).

-Bought the forever stamps for the response cards. Had to order online the 65 cent stamps for the invitations. They were 0.1 ounce over the weight to be able to use the 44 cent forever stamps :(

-Put the stamp on the response cards.

-Tested out my calligraphy pens to be sure the writing will be neat enough. FI thought it looked good.

-Booked the flight to Vegas :)

-Booking the hotel rooms for Vegas today.

-Finally decided on Bridesmaids dresses, so happy that check is done!!

-Ordered two pairs of shoes online last night, I have been having such a hard time finding shoes. FI is only a couple inches taller than me and I didn't want to be taller than him so I need a small heel. Fingers crossed I like one of them!

This was a productive weekend for me:

-Invitations came in on Friday. Need to start assembling.
-Picked out the unity candle reading (thanks to FFIL)
-Got shoes for my BMs (I love DSW sales)
-Set a date for my bridal shower

The best part was we really got into honeymoon planning. We are doing 2 weeks in Turkey/Greek Isles. We happened to eat at a new Turkish restaurant this weekend. When we told the waitor we were going to Turkey everyone in the restaurant came over to tell us their favorite things. They even brought out a lap top to show us pictures. We made a reservation for Thursday night to go back and bring our guide books and they will help us pick things out. Can't wait at all!

I finished a TON of DIY stuff this weekend with one of my BMs.  I'm so excited to have so much done.  I feel like we are in a much better place! Here are some pics

Centerpieces:  The table cloths will be black or white (half and half) with a black and white damask overlay and we will sprinkle some sort of candy around them as well.

Card box: We used one I found on pinterest as an inspiration. This is one of my favorite projects! (Two of my centerpieces beside it)

Kissing Balls: These will line the aisle during the ceremony.  They are made from coffee filters hot glued on newspaper balls wrapped with packing tape.

Flower Girl Basket: Bought it on sale at hobby lobby (it was plain white) and glued the ribbon and flowers on it.

Ring bearer pillow: Also bought it plain white at hobby lobby and glued the ribbon on.

And Finally.... This was on clearance at hobby lobby and i loved it! Not exactly sure what we will do with it, but we will find something!

This was totally out of my hands, but I received confirmation today about it.

My FI put in for vacation time for the wedding and honeymoon back in December. He just IMed me with the great news that he was finally approved to take the time off!!!

Other than that just put in orders for the paper and evenlopes to DYI the invites. We already know the layout so we just have to print and assemble them together.

We also put a down payment on a band for me. It was very hard to find a simple band to go with a marquise setting, but we ended up finding one at a local place.

Not much wedding stuff this weekend because spent most of it outside. It was a very nice weekend, so I was soaking up some rays :)

FI and I went on a retreat this weekend that the Catholic Church requires, and I ordered the card stock for our invitations (doing them myself) Hopefully I can get some more things done as the day goes on and this evening.

    edited January 2012

So far today (I am on a roll)...

-I found a cake topper online the other day that FI and I both liked. After doing some more research, I was able to find the same one for a few bucks cheaper. Just ordered it this afternoon.

-did a little more research on wedding invitations and I'm glad I did. All of the websites I had been coming across had wording formats that were pretty set in stone, which didn't allow for me to set up the invitations just how I wanted it. I was getting really discouraged and was pretty much going to give up until I came across a different site today. It allowed me to set up the invitation and wording just how I wanted it. :) Best of all, the total cost is going to be almost half of the cost of the order I was going to originally settle on and that's including the price of enclosure cards (that we were going to skip with the other site), return addresses printed on the invite envelopes, and our address printed on the RSVP envelopes. I am so stoked. I'm just waiting for FI to get home to see them...if he likes them I will most likely order them tonight. :)

ETA: I also got my shoes last night. I love them. Now that I know that I like them I can send them back to have the flower dyed blue. :) My "something blue"

-I got shoes from DSW but didn't like them so I returned them
-Ordered new shoes to try from Zappos, hope they are good!
-Decided on a honeymoon place last night and emailed travel agent, we're going in tomorrow to pay and sign paperwork
-Came up with an idea for a guestbook (I'll end up making a scrapbook of the things guests write on small pieces of paper we're giving them)
    -Shower list all set

    This weekend I:

-Met with our priest for the first time. He is being super accommodating with FI living out of the country--we're going to do some meetings with FI over Skype so that we can all three "talk" together.

-Ordered our STDs, envelopes for them, and stamps. I know they're kind of late, but I figure I'm still in a decent time frame for them.

-Talked with a limo company--just waiting for a quote that includes taxes.

-Spoke with a ceremony musician and received samples of her work that are fabulous!

Feeling much better about things...I was in a slump for a while! Now if I could just get my BMs to order their dresses I'd feel a lot better!

This weekend I ordered the panel pockets and envelopes for our invitations and a paper sample.

I designed our wedding programs, but still need some final (ceremony music) details before I can print them.

I also designed the return address labels which we'll put on the RSVP envelopes.

Today I confirmed with my BMs as to who wants hair/make-up done at the salon on the wedding day.

I received my veil and hair flower in the mail today.  They are gorgeous!
