Lingerie Question

My bachelorette party was this past weekend and I got some lingerie. I feel really stupid for asking this, but am I supposed to write thank yous for lingerie?

I did just put thank you for your gift and the wonderful weekend. I didn't spell out what everything was since most my girls didn't include a card to now I don't remeber who gave what.

hmmm.. I'm not quite sure what the "proper" thing to do in this situation is. lol it would seem quite awkward though!  i'm under the impression you and your FI just sent out thank yous for gifts yall receive at showers were you get house warming gifts or gifts you receive at the wedding.

You know, I don't recall getting a 'Thank You' for my unmentionable gifts given at a bachelorette party but that doesn't mean that it's a bad idea.  I don't know what Emily Post would say but probably something like this:
 

Dear ___________,

Thank you for attending my bachelorette party. It was a wonderful and tasteful evening, and I'm glad you were there to enjoy it with me. Your gift of beautiful lingerie and lavender-scented sachet packets was very thoughtful. Thank you again.

Agree. You don't have to say oh I can't wait to use it. You could say it's pretty and thanks for coming or something like that

Definitely write a thank you. If someone like my best friend gave it to me, I would probably write a more tongue and cheek thank you. If it was grandma, it was be a "thank you for the thoughtful present. I'm so happy you were able to attend" type of note.

Definitely write a TY note! They spent the time to buy you a gift...you don't have to detail all the ways you'll tease FI in it. hehe Just a simple thanks and thanks for coming.

I definitely would since it's still a gift.  I'd just write a more generic one saying thanks.
