Father/Daughter Dance Songs

I am having the hardest time picking out a song for me and my Dad to dance to.  I am definitely a daddy's girl (youngest of four children and the only girl) but I can't decide for sure on a song! There are too many I like!!! And I start bawling like a baby halfway through them all. 

Anyway, what are you all dancing with your Dad's too, if you are doing this dance?

My dad and I will dance to Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman. My dad gave me a book with this cd in it when I was younger so it only mad sense for it to be our song.

That is totally one of the ones I listened to this morning on my way to work!  So it is a top contender for me.

I think it's going to be Tim McGraw's "Daddy's Little Girl."

My dad doesn't dance. I love my dad, but we play tennis together and discuss grammatical details together. We do not dance together.

Mine is My Little Girl by Tim McGraw. I love I loved her first by Heartland but my older sister called dibs haha

I'm still debating but here's some were debating : little miss magic jimmy Buffett (my parents are divorced and theres a line about your mother is the only woman for me), daughters (Paul Simon), and ripple (grateful dead less traditional but I grew up listening/dancing to th dead with my dad so its our thing)

Pretty sure we're dancing to "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts, but it's not definite yet.

I heard it for the first time a few years ago and knew that was the one I would use when I got married.

My dad and I are dancing to "Sweet Pea" by Amos Lee. Sweet Pea is my nickname that my mom always called me as a little girl but she ok'd my dad and I using it. 

My other choice was going to be "Daughter" by Loudon Wainwright (it's the song that plays while the credits are rolling in Knocked Up). There's a line in the chorus that says "that's my daughter in the water" which is special as I was a competitive swimmer for 16 years.

I think we are doing Forever Young by Rod Stewart for our father/daughter/mother/son dance. We are going to combine them if we can. We would dance to everyother beat so we can slow dance.

This exactly! I posted this on the music thread yesterday...but my dad and I heard it a few years back at a wedding, and I told him that's what we would be dancing to at my wedding. He said it was perfect, and there has never been another song in mind for it. (I hate country, but this song makes me cry and it's perfect for my dad and me!)

Another good one is "My Girl" by the Temptations. That's what my dad and my sister will dance too.
