Tonight my mom and a friend and I went to my second dress shop. The place was really neat because they only sell designer sample gowns in perfect condition that the owner hand picks. It's also cool because they only allow one bride in a time so you have their full attention and the whole shop to yourself. I felt so pampered!
Anywhooo, I really like this Priscilla of Boston dress. Normally it would be out of my price range but it's 50% off since it's a sample. The only downside is my alterations will be pricey because I intend to add straps and a sash. The upside is that the friend I brought with me used to own a dress shop so she somewhat grilled the consultant on what would have to be done, in what way and how much it would cost, so at least I know what I'm getting into.
The thing on my shoulder is just so I could see what a strap would kind of look like. I'll definitely add a sash but it probably will be a different style and in the same color as the dress.
I'm going to one more dress shop tomorrow to make sure this is "the one." Let me know what you think!
