Program Thank you

As I just posted on fb, I have finished our programs.  When I sent the picture to my mom she also reminded me to put a thank you to special people on the back.  I have no idea where to begin with this.  I just want a little blurb and nothing about God or religious or anything.

What do yours say?  Any suggestions?

Re: Program Thank you

  • Mine says:
Thank you to our family and friends for choosing to celebrate this day with us.
Thank you for honoring us with your presence and love.
  • I found a thank you note on Pinterest that I am using on our programs

We're doing a variation of one of these:

To our family and friends, thank you. It means the world to us to have you here today. Thank you for being our support system. Our encouragement. Our partners in crime. For loving us through the ups and downs in life, for being our mentors, teachers, and guides. You have helped to make us who we are and for that we are forever grateful. So please enjoy tonight and let it be but a small gift for all you have done. You are our favorite people in the world and we love you. –kelsey and Brandon

They say a measure of one’s life is the company they surround themselves with. Having y’all here, we can see that our lives are truly blessed. We want to thank every one of you for being a part of our special day, but even more importantly, thank you for being a part of our lives. Our days are so much more rich because of your presence.

  • Mine....I totally stole from someone, but I just thought it was so absolutely perfect and well-written:
    Special Thanks

    To our Family & Friends,
We would like to thank you, for traveling the distance, near or far, to join us in our marriage celebration. We have been blessed by your gracious love, support and friendship over the years, and look forward to its presence in the years ahead.

    To our Bridal Party,
You each have touched our lives in a special way and we are honored to have you in our lives today and always. You have helped us with so many details and given us the emotional support we needed during all of our planning. We cannot thank you enough, for being by our sides on this special day.

    To our Parents,
Your love and support goes beyond any we have ever seen, and more than we could have ever asked for. Who we have become, what we believe, and our ability to look towards a wonderful future together as husband and wife, comes from all that you have instilled in us. You have given us extraordinary examples of how to live, love, laugh, forgive, forget, and persevere. Throughout our lives, you have given us all that you could, and then amazingly, more. Thank you so very much for making this day possible. We love you with all our hearts.

    In Loving Memory

On this most special milestone in our lives, we remember those who could not be here with us today. Through the years their comfort, their wisdom, and their love helped shape our lives. Their everlasting presence is here today and in our hearts always.  The flowers on the altar are placed in loving memory of them. We love and miss you.

    With all of our love,

  • Ours says:

Marriage is a journey that begins when two individuals set off on a path as one. We want to thank those in our lives who have loved, supported, nurtured and encouraged us as we set out on the journey that led us to the celebration today.
With our deepest love and sincerest gratitude,

I don't know where I got it from, probably pinterest. I'm thinking of changing it to something a little more personal but it's at least a starting point.

  • I copied it from Chelsea Clinton's program, ha! If it's good enough for her...

  • I've been working on my programs today and I think we're using this:

Thank you so much to all of you for your unconditional love and for being with us today to celebrate our marriage. Whether you traveled from near or far, your presence today and in our lives has shaped who we are and who we will become. We look forward to sharing many more moments with each of you.

  • We used some other programs as inspiration:

"We would like to thank all of our family and friends for joining us in celebrating our wedding day. You all hold a special place in our hearts and we are incredibly grateful for all of your love and support throughout the years.

We would especially like to thank our parents for the love, encouragement, and support you have given us as we found our way to each other and this day. Without you, who we are and what we hope to be would not be possible. We will forever be grateful for all that you have done and continue to do for us."

And above that a small in memory section for those that have passed.
  • **AMAZING**
