At the reception we're having 72 inch round tables that are going to have light pink tablecloths on them. I like the idea of incorporating a second fabric somehow, but I'm not sure how I feel about an overlay or a runner. I have an idea of doing a round piece of ivory fabric in the center of the table that would be about 1/4 the size of the table top. I guess what I like about that idea is having something round on top of something else round. What do y'all think? If I do this, I'm planning on cutting the fabric and stitching it myself. Here's the only picture I could find to kind of represent what I'm thinking of. I wouldn't do a scalloped edge and the one I would do would be much smaller than this:
