FABULOUS Friday

Re: FABULOUS Friday

  • FI left for work this morning (or so I thought) and came back with doughnuts for the kids. they were super excited because I guess they all talked about it last night before bed. FI also informed me he has 3 appts in town (he normally works 1 hr away from home) and we will be dropping the kids off at his parents at 3pm for a surprise weekend get away!! So excited for a nice little break before I start work again on Monday!

[QUOTE]In Response to Re:FABULOUS Friday: Aw, thanks! If I got bad enough I'm sure he would let me take the afternoon off and just report the sick pay when I get it. I'll be doing that for the honeymoon, since I don't get my week of vacation till the Monday I get back. I feel bad asking for it, though, and I have a couple of meetings this afternoon. He's leaving at 4, though, and I'll have extra time next week from driving back from business in Canada, so maybe I'll leave right after him. Nindakay, it's my time of the month, too! Definitely doesn't help matters, haha. Luckily I'm still covered under my parents' insurance, but I can't imagine someone like a single mother having to go for 34 months without insurance. I know they want to make sure you're staying, but still!

Wow, that's great! I'm glad they're willing to work with you. :)
  • Today didn't start so good, I woke up to a really loud boom of thunder and some really bright lighting flashes at 5 am, and couldn't go back to sleep. But thats okay, cause I'm getting out of work early too :)

My son's birthday is on Monday so we are having his party this weekend. I can't believe he is turning 11. It makes me feel soooo old. I'm pretty excited for his party though, we are going to a hotel with a waterpark inside and it's always a lot of fun. Also, his party's are more fun than my daughters because it is so much easier to deal with 10-10 year old boys than 10-5 year old girls.

  • Leah - My son just turned 11 as well. I can't believe how big he is getting. He's starting to wear mens clothing instead of kids and in a size 8-1/2 shoe in mens. Too bad he's so skinny, he has a hard time finding pants that will fit his waist.

Tonight: The house will be empty!! My son has youth group at church from 6-9pm, then he's sleeping at my mom's. FI is working 6-10pm. I plan on getting some more frames spray painted while they are out. FI & I are going out for drinks after he gets out of work.

Tomorrow: I get to sleep in. Not doing too much except for stuff around the house. I'll be working on more wedding stuff. Also writing out a bunch of checks!

Sunday: My son has baseball practice at 8am, then I have church. Cleaning & grocery shopping at some point.

Not a very eventful weekend, which I'm totally fine with.

Yeah my boss is awesome : I've been working there either as a coop or parttime while finishing school since June, so my boss knows he can trust me. It's a truly great job that I love and I'm lucky I stumbled into it.
