FI and I went to his ex-stepsister's wedding last night. Overall I would describe it as cheesy and not my style. But there were a few cute parts. I'll start with those, then the good, then the cheesy.
Cute-
Since the bride didn't have either parent there, mother passed away and father not in her life, her 10 year old son "gave her away." Her 8 year old daughter was her maid of honor. The groom's son was his best man as well.
Good-
Instead of cake they had a cheesecake bar. Which was really yummy.
They had a pasta bar for dinner, which could have been better, but I really liked it.
There was extra wine left at the end of the night, so FI and I got to take a bottle home with us.

Cheesy-
The bride wore a bright pink dress, it was just too much for me. But if it makes her happy...
The bride sang a song after her vows, no music, just her singing, and not very well.

Instead of a traditional dollar dance, they had a dance off with all the men and the women paid the men, then gave the money to bride and groom. And vice versa.
For the removal of the garter they blindfolded the groom, then switched out the bride with a groomsman wearing her slip. The groom couldn't find the garter on him, then they unblinded him and he realized what happened. Then they did the normal removal.
The wedding party had artificial flowers, that I didn't find to be very good looking.
I think that's about it. Oh, and she invited herself to our wedding. XD Before last weekend I had never met her, and FI hadn't seen her since their parents split four years ago.
