I just got off the phone with the insurance and the rental company. I had to call them even though a phone call was promised yesterday, and I called yesterday close to the end of the day and left a message. Still heard nothing so I decided to call. The lady who was suppossed to be handling my claim didn't answer again, so this time I used the "Talk to someone else immediately" option and got the information I needed.
Perry's field appraisal is scheduled for Friday and they've already moved him to one of their storage facilities free of charge (so they claim). Hopefully it will be good news. I probably won't hear anything until next Tuesday at the earliest.
The insurance transferred me to the rental car company and I plan on picking up a rental tonight after work. Insurance covers $15/day for a rental, so I only have to pay $4.55/day out of my pocket. It's an "economy car close in size to the Kia Rio" but of course they can't tell me what kind of car it is. That would be too simple.
So really no news on Perry's condition, but at least I have a time frame. I wish it was earlier but I know I'm not the only person they're working with.
