Waffle Robes

I wasn't going to go the robe route, but I think I have decided to get my BMs, flower girls, and myself each a waffle robe to wear while getting ready. I've encountered one problem though--most adult sized waffle robes come one size fits most. However, I have a few tiny bridesmaids. Half of them and myself are just above or below five feet tall and petite and I have a feeling the one size robes would swallow us. Has anyone found waffle robes that come in sizes?

Alternatively, I thought maybe I could buy XL kids size robes, but I can only find kids sizes in S and M, which would be too small. Has anybody found any kids robes that come in L or XL?

Thanks!

Re: Waffle Robes

  • Off the top of my head, Restoration Hardware robes definitely come in sizes (love my super soft, plush one!) and I think they have waffle ones.
  • The other day on Etsy I was looking for silk ones and I saw a lot of waffle robes. I'm pretty sure they had sizes (from what I remember)... I went back and checked and most didn't. This shop did, but they are all full length robes. Only one of her other listings was for a mid-calf length....probably not going to be good for short girls. http://www.etsy.com/shop/creativemama213

  • This is such a cute idea!!!

Courney what color are you planning on getting? Are you going to get a different color for yourself?

  • Thanks, ladies!

@Jeannine: Thanks for the tip! I looked them up and they're a little too pricey. Thanks, though!

@Sheila: Thanks for the research! I looked at the links and a couple others on Etsy. It's so hard to find the length/color combo I want plus something that offers different sizes. I think I may be looking for a needle in a haystack.

@Chelsea: Thanks! My wedding colors are light pink and champagne/gold, but I'm thinking for the robes I might do fuschia. It just pops so much and is a fun color on the robes. I was going to get a white one, but I kind of want the pink one the more I look at them. Here's a pic:

@Kelsey: I'm planning on getting all of them monogrammed too, but on the front.

@Katelyn: I'll have to try VS.

Courtney, I bought mine from the knot when they were on sale for $10, but I have yet to see them go that low again. I wanted to get mine in white, but they were all out of white at the time. I tried one on and I'm only 5'1" and it was only slightly big, but still very cute looking. Something to think about. If you get them for $10 then getting a minor alteration wouldn't be too bad. If I see it go that low again I will let you know.

I would probably prefer a white one for me, but I haven't found exactly what I'm looking for. I might end up with a patterned one for all of us. Idk...I found a lace one on Etsy that I really liked, but I might have to get that one (in addition to a silk one) and just wait to wear it until AFTER the wedding! ;)

  • Hi I'm kind of new here and I'm making a "lifestyle change" so I saw your post and was it just me that thought of food? I know what type of robes you are speaking about but my hungry brain was thinking of Waffles. I just had to post this so I could laugh at myself. I hope I didn't offend anyone:-) cause I love Waffles!
  • This is an etsy link to a set of 11 robes any color. They are waffle and short length. :D
