Went with FI to men's wearhouse today (well, yesterday, but eh, whatever) and used the "pay for five BP tuxes and get a free tux to own for the groom" coupon that we got in the mail.Totally awesome since FI uses his tux at least 15 times a year for concerts.
so this is what we got:
Groom- black 2 button tux with black vest and bowtie and cream shirt.
BM/GM- black 3 button tuxes, wisteria vests and long ties, cream shirt
dads- black 3 button tuxes, cream vest, bowtie and shirt (I think. . . .)
ushers- black 2 button tuxes, cream bowtie, cummerbund and shirts

our colors are brown, lavender ( DB wisteria) and cream. I looked at the brown tuxes, since it goes with our colors, but I'm not a fan, and I worry the black will look odd. thoughts? I'm also not sure those are the correct colors for the dads, but I was thinking maybe they need some more color. Of course, keeping in mind that they will all be wearing bouts, which should be a nice little pop of color. . .is it enough, though?

Officially ordered our invitations, RD invites and ceremony program fans!! WOO HOOO!!!

Ordered our envelopes with the return address printed on them... they will be shipped directly to the calligrapher. Can't wait to see them!

My pomanders were shipped yesterday!

Ordered the fan sticks for our ceremony programs and the metallic blue backer for our invitations.

I love that we are at the point where we can get everyting done and keep moving forward because we are getting so close!!

ETA: My parents got us our "chip n dip" from our registry for Valentines day! My mom said she has been watching our registries for "big sales" haha! She is getting so excited!

We are doing brown and lilac as our colors. I didn't like the brown tuxes either. I also thought it would be a little bit of an over kill. I think the black tuxes look fine.

We haven't decided exactly what colors for vests yet.

haha YES!!!! Fi and I had a good laugh about it last night! I am not even sure if thats teh technical name for the thing we registered for, but it wil not be forever called a chip n dip! We just finished watching season 4.... I want season 5 now!!!!!!!

I don't think the black will look odd at all - they're tuxes.  There are only a limited number of colors you can choose from, and I think it's rare that people match the tux color to the wedding (unless they're really just DYING for that baby powder blue...).  It'll be fine!

Oh and we have our first pre-marriage counseling session tonight with our pastor. I cant wait!!
