My shower is this weekend and I have been slacking off on getting gifts for the ladies who are throwing it for me. What are you all getting your shower hostesses?

I'm in the same pickle, but my shower is on the 26th. Also both of these ladies are older (FI's Gradma and Great Aunt).

I got a little basket with orchids in it. I totally forgot about a gift and searched the local florist. Most florist shops have little trinket/gift ideas if you don't want to do something like a bottle of wine (a lot of people do that).

I gave my first hostess some lotion with moisturizing gloves and something else....can't remember now.  I gave my second hostesses a  gift certificate for a mani. I wrote each of them a personal note of thanks!

I got mine Coach wristlets from the outlet.  It's all about what you think they would like though.

My hostess is a big gardener and we had a tea party shower in her garden. So, to go with her love of her garden I got her two little "Bless My Garden" and ....I forget what the other one said... signs with little birds she can put in her garden. Then I made her some homemade jelly to go with the tea party part. And I wrote a really nice long thank you note in her card. 

Just try to personalize it :-)

I suppose if the shower is supposed to be a surprise (which I happen to know about) that I would give her a gift at some later point, right?  Bringing it to the "surprise" event seems inappropriate.

I had a surprise shower last weekend and I'm working on my thank yous and shower hostess gifts now. I'm probably going to find some nice potted plants to give them.

I got mine Orchids too! They loved them!  I added a nice thank you note with them, they were a hit!

I am doing some kind of nice potted plant... I was just going to go to the store and pick out a pretty one a couple days beforehand (mine is the 26th).

My mom and FMIL both really love displaying photos around their houses, so I got them each a nice picture frame with a picture of them and me in it. IMO, it doesn't have to be something big; just something nice to show that you appreciate all the time and effort they put into throwing you a shower.

I got each person something different. I got two bridesmaids handmade clutches from a local boutique. Another bridesmaid loves birds so I got her bird salt and pepper shakers and coasters. I got two women that hosted another shower handpainted mail holders from Jayes online. I got my mother a painting of a pier near their beach house. I got my sister the Bridesmaid Tervis Tumbler with all the accessories. I guess whatever you think they would like!

Thanks for all the suggestions! I ended up going to a cute local store and got them each a fun spring themed tea-towel, a trivet that looks like a rope ball (hard to explain but it's cute), and a stylus pen for their iPad/iPhones. I also got them a small box of truffles from a chocolate place.

For my first showe I got both ladies outdoor hanging candles.

For the second I will probably get my aunt a nice bottle of wine and my MOH some fancy teas.
