The Time Traveler's Wife

OMG! I just saw it for the first time! I cried like a baby! It's one of my favorite movies now. I know a lot of y'all read (I don't) but I'd like to read the book now. I know my mom has read it, but what do y'all think about the book?

I read the book but have not seen the movie.

I loved it!! And I am not typically into romantic books. So good! Occasionally had to look back to make sure I had the timing of things right but I flew through it.

Yeah the movie was a little difficult to follow at first, but I got the hang of it after a little while. I'll definitely have to read the book!

Omg, I told FI he is taking me to the movies on V-Day to see The Vow! I have been obsessing over it since I saw the preview a while back!! I haven't heard if te Lucky One. What is it?

It's Nicholas Sparks book. It's about a Marine who finds a picture of a woman in the sand in Iraq I believe and it's his lucky charm. He vows to find her when he gets back and he walks across the country to find her. The book was so good but I'm really disappointed in the casting. They cast Zac Efron to play an infantry Marine in his late 20s. Awww, FI was a Marine so I am going to have to read and see the Lucky One! Yeah, Zac Efron was not the best choice for that I'm sure...haha.

I understand why he wouldn't want to see it. FI was in a helo accident in Iraq and got a purple heart. He won't want to see the Lucky One with me b/c he hates seeing military movies because he knows what it's like and what war is like and it's not usually portrayed well in movies. (I wouldn't know myself, but that's always what he says).

Yeah FI has two purple hearts. He generally likes war stuff but that car crash isn't good

I read the book and fell in love.  I was SO disappointed with the movie. So I totally recommend reading the book. It's 1000% times better.

I loved the book but at first it was so confusing, reading it after the movie should make it better.

Agree 100% The book even has dates/time because of all the flashing back! Cried like a baby while reading it Soooo good!
