Woke up around 545am to rain, then watched the whole time as me and my bridal party got ready as it rain, and at times it was going sideways...which caused me to almost burst in tears at time. It sometimes lightened up. I watched as a small river started to form at the end of the driveway, so I called my dad to bring rainboots! My MOH and parents all showed up at my location at 1pm as well as the videographer and photographer. At this time the rain stopped and started to clear. I got dressed and took many indoor pictures, did a few funny ones outside with the rainboots and an umbrella.
Showed up at the outdoor ceremony location 8 minutes early due to trying to beat the rain. Had a beautiful ceremony, managed to get a few pictures outside. Went to our reception location early and swamped their bar while we got pictures done on their beautiful staircase.
Finally was able to get into our banquet room, the DJ was not ready for our entrance. Managed to mess up everyone's name...including ours. We ended up having to can our receiving line because there was no flow left and guests have already been thanking us. The food was amazing
, though music we wanted to dance to and play our slide show to was being played during dinner. Our guests got restless and wanted to dance...so we had to rush to do our cake...which we smushed (he got frosting in my nose!) Then did a dollar dance and the tosses. The dance floor was opened.
Everyone had a blast and enjoyed the food, though they were not able to hear the DJ and some missed things like the cake cutting.
