Sick of the snow already. :( UPDATED WITH PICS

We just got our first big snow, which is super late, and it is crazy! They have closed the schools today and tomorrow, which is unheard of in our town. I heard the last time they canceled was in 1980 when Mount Saint Helens blew!

We have a foot and a half at least since yesterday afternoon. I got home and there was a foot in my parking spot, so we shoveled it so I wouldn't get stuck. Well, I woke up and the snow plow has completely buried my tires on the passenger side, so I will have to dig out, again!

I am too lazy to go shovel again, but I am so bored being stuck at home. I have no where to go, just don't like not having the option. Anyone else hate that?

I'm sorry you are bored. I wish we had some snow. It has been a warm winter and I don't like it. I don't want a foot and a half, just a couple inches.

We just got our first real snow last week so I'm not sick of it yet.  (Although right after it became rain for a few days and so my driveway is an ice skating rink...I could do without that part.)

I actually love to be snowed in.  I grab a nice book, cuddle up on the couch with my dogs and relax...or I go on a cleaning spree.

We are finally supposed to get a few inches tonight into tomorrow. Then another storm (3-6 inches) on Saturday. I like a little snow, just not too much. Either way, I have to go to work - no being snowed in for me

I hate being stuck somewhere, even if I don't have any where to go. I still have to go to work even if there is 5 feet out. I just have today and tomorrow off. Which I am very thankful for!

I would love to share some snow! Come and get it guys!!! haha. Our yard is full! I think it is over two feet. It was supposed to quit snowing at noon today, but the last time I looked, it is still coming down. That was around 3pm. We are supposed to get rain tomorrow, but I really hope not, it will be super slick out then.

Last year we had a ton of snow in January.  I think we had significant snowfalls at least 2x a week.  Of course we were naive our first year living here and thought we didn't need a snowblower because our driveway isn't too bad but it's deceivingly steep and we got record snowfall.  We got a snowblower at the end of Jan when they were hard to come by and never needed it.

Fast forward to October and we got that snowstorm that knocked power out for a week (thankfully not our house) and schools were out for a week.  After that we got nothing until this Monday night which caused a delay on Tuesday.  I just went out to dinner with some girls in my neighborhood and there's an inch or 2 out there now.  I'm hoping it will slowly continue to cause another delay tomorrow.  It's supposed to snow a good 8" on Saturday but I am supposed to go to my friend's baby shower.  I hope I can make it because she's already been on bedrest for 3+ weeks (due Feb 28th) so I want to see her before this baby comes and before another friend has her baby (due Feb. 14).

Here are some pictures from before we shoveled tonight. It was done 24 hours ago. We got almost another foot. So 24 inches in 24 hours!!
(My breath is in some of the pictures, sorry!)

FI There was an inch of new snow after the hour of shoveling we did.

My poor truck!! There was about 10 inches on top.



There was only about a foot of fresh snow but the snow plow pushed in another foot along the side. It is really heavy snow too.

I  would love the snow. However, our winter is following our hot summer. We hit 71 yesterday and we are supposed to hit 76 today. It is not really winter here right now.

I missed the snow storm we got in October so I'm ready for some!! We're supposed to get some tonight and this weekend. But 24 inches in one day is a lot! Hopefully you're staying nice and warm!

Fawn, that's typical snowfall for Northern New England!  I'm sorry you're sick of it, but I'm jealous!  It's been pretty barren here, there's a little on the ground (less than 6 inches) and I'm hoping for more soon (though hopefully not on days I have to go to school).
