I thought it would be fun to share how we picked our settings. I noticed that many of us have split-bands. That seems to be a big trend right now.
A bunch of my friends got married when three stone rings were the rage (5-8 years ago). I wonder if people will look at our split band rings one day and know when we got married.
My FI actually had a three stone ring picked out. We went into the jeweler together at one point and I was hooked on the split band rings, though only one satisfied my requirement that the setting not be so high that it gets caught on things. While my FI was peering into other cases, I told the jeweler, quietly, that it didn't matter what was in the middle, but it had to be that split band, not-too-high setting. She smiled, wrote something in her notebook, and winked.
I love my ring.
