Hi Everyone!
Since you all give such great advice, I figure I'd come to you with this dilemma I'm having. I have 250 guests that are going to be invited, and both FI and I have large families. We're having a plated dinner in a hotel for our reception. I was planning on assigning tables for our guests, since there's so many of them and I thought it would decrease confusion. However, this is not usually done in either my family or FI's family, and when I brought up the subject to my mom and aunt, they were both against it. They said that it would be too much work for me, and just to reserve tables up front for family. That being said, most of the guests will be family, so I'm not exactly sure how that'd work.
Basically, my question is do you think I should assign tables or not? It's not something that is usually done for weddings in my family, but I have so many guests that I feel like it would be nice to do.
