Engagement Pics?

Hi ) I was wondering if you girls are planning on taking E-Pics. If you are when are you planning on taking them. I'm definitely take enragement pictures, I want to include them throughout my wedding. I'm thinking about taking them around March. The weather is so beautiful around that time.

I'm definitely taking them.  They are included in our photography package, it was either e-pics or all of our wedding photos on an iPod Touch - no brainer for me to go with the e-pics.  Since we're in the NE, I'm hoping to do them next fall and in like a downtown setting.  I want them to be very different from our wedding pictures which will be very outdoorsy and in the late Spring.

I haven't decided yet. I may just go to some small studio and pay not too much for a few pics rather than spending a crazy amount on a photography package...but I did just find a photographer with a GREAT package. As far as when, I don't care. Texas weather is so crazy you never know what to expect in any season, other than the hot summer.

they come with our package so we're for sure taking them. we want to use them on our save the dates, so probably take them around may of next year.

we will be taking engagement pics too. the photographer we chose does them 1 month before the wedding which is kind of odd but he does amazing work at a generous price so i'll go with it for now.

slave4dance, I agree it's odd that they schedule it one month before the wedding but if he does amazing work then I would just roll with it too...as long as you have a bridal pic for the wedding, if you're having one there.

That typo had me giggling for like five minutes. Sometimes when I get all overwhelmed and nutso I feel like I'm enraged instead of engaged. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />  We're doing engagement photos, I think some time this summer.  Our wedding will be in Kansas City, but we're doing the engagement pictures in Seattle- where I grew up and my family lives.  I'm excited!

We are definitely taking engagement pics. I plan on using them for the STD and maybe get some framed and have around the reception. I want to do them late spring, when the weather gets warmer.

yes I'll have the photos in time for the wedding so I didn't care if he's doing them the month before. We are doing them on the beach so May is fine with me (I'm from NY).

Lauraf2012- I hadn't noticed the typo until you pointed it out. It is hilarious lol. I could't stop laughing I love the idea of taking the engagement pictures where you grew up to make new memories in your hometown.

Julbgordo- That was definitely a no brianer, but I have never heard of a photographer giving pictures for an Ipod Touch. That's pretty cool.

Most of us are planning on using the E-Pics for our Save-The-Dates. How long before the wedding are you planning on sending them out? I am so excited to take the pictures!!!  I'll definitely be posting a few as soon as I take and get mine

I also want to take some engagement pictures.  I plan on doing them around March or early April. I want to use them for my save-the-dates.

I don't know if I'll be using them for save the dates, in the 2+ years we've been together there have only been about 5 pictures of us taken together...we're not very photogenic as a couple but individually we're fine, but I do want to have the pictures just in case we manage to get a really good one.
I'm planning on sending out a few Save The Date cards (sorry, "STD" makes me laugh) around May 2011 to those out in California, Nevada, and Arizona who will need to make special arrangements to make it out here (and to make sure that they don't schedule a summer vacation a year in advance). Most of our family and friends live close so facebook, casual e-mail, in person conversations, or the 2011 family get-together of my side of the family will suffice.

we are def taking e-pics! We are doing them in the Central Florida area (Orlando or Cocoa Beach). We are thinking about using them for the STDs but you never know how things turn out! We are sending them out in July though.. for sure. We have family coming from Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and other northern states.

I think we are going to once the snow falls this winter, and possibly through out the year. To get different outifts, seasons, colors, poses, places, etc. Plus since we are getting married outside in June I want to have different season pictures for at our wedding! =] And since we are going to be moving from WA down to AZ between now and the wedding I think the change in scenery will be fun too! =]

i'm definitely doing e-pics, planning to do them in july or august when it is nice and warm up here in canada lol

I saved on my engagement pictures. We got engaged in Magic Kingdom in October and they took our photos there afterwards.  I chose to send that out in the form of a "seasons greetings" card for the holidays. I used officedepot.com and for 70 with envelopes I paid $38 and they were great quality!

We took E-pics, this past Nov, sunrise.  It was freezing but they all turned out graet. Had a friend do them so they were not that expensive. was able to use some for Christmas cards which was nice too.  We want to use some for save the dates and just to have nice pictures of us since all we have our self taken pictures.  Plus it was just fun to have a photo shoot with my FI )
