I know this is late @ night so many may not see it but i seen in amanda's post she made a little note at the bottom about my mom (ty amanda)
We are hoping to get transferred to her home hospital tomorrow. She is improving slowly every day, her bowels have kinda stopped (she had problems before anyways) but she is fine there for the moment.
her wound is improving, it is not as puss filled and is bleeding when cleaned so that is a good sign, will be at least a month before healed & when she goes home will need home care for wound change. Her white blood cell count is finally starting to go down for the 2nd day in a row so the double doses of strong antibiotics she is on are finally doing a good job. her hemoglobin is low though so she might need a pint of blood still.
Her lungs are doing better, not fully though, she is about 92% oxygen & needs a nebulizer treatment every couple hours still, she is not on oxygen during the day to get her breathing better but still needs it at night while in rest.
She is eatting a bit right now, with the bloating she is not very hungry but is eatting more than she did at home which is good, her catheder is out as well as of today but i am not liking that since if she has an 8 hour ambulance ride (instead of medivac since she is stable) i do not like that she will have to go to the bathroom in a bedpan since it can not stop with a patient inside but that does not bother her.
I am not very happy though & neither is she, she had major back pain the last couple days, to the point she could not lay down in bed, and last night she could only sit up in a regular chair not even the recliner she went too once she couldn't lay in bed, i have complained, garry has complained, mom has complained a lot, come to find out this morning that the doc had ordered motin for her to have for the inflamation on the 1st & she never received any till the old school nurse this morning gave it to her. It was double signed by 2 nurses so it does not make any sense, not impressed that she had to have the pain for 2 days when the medicine was ordered 4 days ago, lots of nurses completely overlooked it.
Let's just hope that everything works out to go to her home hospital tomorrow, and that she will be ok enough that i can go home friday, 2 weeks away from my son is a long time, i miss my fiance too but he can handle it better than my son, i don't want to make it another weekend without him.
