Why are men so slow?!?!

Sorry just have to vent a little... Why are men so slow?!?!?! Tonight I wrote, signed, addressed, and stamped all of the thank you notes from the shower, logged 9 caches from Saturday, picked up from dinner, assembled and sent the last invitation (was waiting on an address), and replied to several e-mails all in about 2 hours time... what did my FI do during this same amount of time?!?! Write 1 craigs list ad for our yard sale this weekend!! AHHH!!! I just want to scream.... why are men soooooooo slow?!?!? Do any of the rest of you have this same crazy problem?!?!

Ohh man... it's like the opposite in our house a lot of times. FI is an awesome worker. Like, I admire his work ethic. 

For example, our unlimited garbage pick-up is tomorrow morning so today, he cut & tied up a bunch of carpet (we redid our floors & had carpet in the garage for a month), took a bed apart to put by the curb, cleaned the garage, ect, ect. And basically all I got done in that time was fold and put away a basket of clean clothes. I was poking around too much.

Yea it really varies with FI and I. We both tend to procrastinate, but when he gets down to business it is amazing what he can accomplish! He just goes til it's done, whereas I like to take little breaks between jobs (or in the middle of a job...) to do other things. It can take me an entire day to clean my one bedroom house, while FI can get his one bedroom apartment (similar sizes, his might be a bit bigger) in a couple of hours.

FI is the same. He gets very distracted or if he has multiple things to accomplish he tends to start all projects at once and bounces back and forth.

My FI is really slow with stuff as well.  He is constantly going between projects before finishing others.  Also he tends to forget the other projects or stuff he was supposed to do. I had to ask him about 3 times yesterday alone to call his aunt about a cookout this weekend.

My FI is slow too- he's meticulous about things! Especially when it comes to cleaning the house and the dishes. The floors look better when he does them than when I do, but it takes him about 3x as long. He procrastinates starting wedding tasks but is on the ball about doing other chores, much more than me.  So I can't complain too much, he gets the household stuff done on time, just slowly.

My FI is slow at things too, b/c he either gets distracted, or he is starts researching the topic for the thing he's doing in WAY too much detail. He often jokes that he's "finished" the internet, meaning that he's read the whole thing lol. OMG, and I cannot stand to go grocery shopping with him. He has to compare every single option for an item before choosing. He'll whip out his smartphone in the middle of the aisle to look up reviews and do a price compare. It's so freaking annoying!

Same here. And I get annoyed by it often. He says he'll get around to doing it but then forgets. I have to remind him at least three times before screaming to him and saying "DO IT NOW BEFORE YOU FORGET AGAIN!". He also gives up easily- if something costs too much money or if he can't do it the way he wants, then that just means it cannot be done.

OMG I sooo know what you mean, my FI is the same way!! It can take a solid 15 minutes to get down 1 aisle at the grocery store, he has to touch and feel and look and compare EVERYTHING!!! I get so frustrated, I just keep moving, and eventually he catches up to me.
