I GOT THE DRESS! (Sorry for the long post!!)
Today was a great day to mark my '11 months until my wedding'
Spur of the moment (yesterday) we decided to go wedding gown shopping today. So we got up and went to a couple of bridal salons. So Friday I spent the day making appointments to places that had openings for today.
Salon #1: Tried on what I thought was my dream dress which is gorgeous but it didn't do anything for me. I was so disappointed. I tried on another dress which was very gorgeous but 'too much dress' for me. And all the other dresses I tried on were just a No. I was a but let down to say the least; not to mention the place was not really organized and they did not have a great selection.
Salon #2: I had a picture of a dress which is Fall/Winter 2011, which apparently are not in stock yet. But another bride had ordered this dress so I was able to see it in person but not try it on. The dress looked really pretty but you obviously need to try on a gown. Well the lady went behind the counter and asked me for my full name and wedding date. Then I notice she is writing an order form. I was a bit shock! I told her I can't order a dress without trying it on. The lady never even offered to put me in a dress. Needless to say I was a bit PO'ed.
Salon #3: There were no appointments when I called on Friday but I realy wanted to go in since this bridal salon was featured in a bridal expo I went to at the beginning of the year. I called and they told me they had a cancellation and I could come in as a walk in. I was super happy. The bridal consultant was super nice and was open to me trying on anything I wanted. The first dress I tried on here was breathtaking but it was a ballgown and I really was not looking for that cut; it really didn't feel me. I tried on the second gown and just did not want to take it off! I loved it! We tried on 3 more dresses and I kept coming back to that second dress. It was a little on the 'high' side of my budget but my parents are a huge help and they got me the dress. They just told me that I will be in charged of getting my accessories and all the undergarments which is find by me! Unfortunately I did not take a picture! I don't know how that slipped my mind! I was just so excited about finding the dress I just kept looking at myself. But the link for the dress is here (
