Mailing Magnets

I ordered my postcard STDs from Vistaprint on Sunday. Today I got an e-mail for 50 free magnets, so I'm ordering magnets to put with the postcards, which I had already ordered envelopes for anyway. For those of y'all that did magnets, did a regular stamp cover the postage? They are the small magnets from VP. Thanks!

TK is being wonky and I can't see your post, so I'm going to take a shot in the dark and give my two cents! :)  I just mailed our postcard size STD magnets with no problem.  We had to pay a little more postage for weight, but that was all.

ETA: Now I can see your post!  We sent a greeting card and a postcard size magnet.  We ended up having to pay .64 for each. That was before postage went up one cent on Sunday.  I don't think it would have been a problem if we had mailed them all separately but since it was 100 together, you could tell it was more weight than normal.

  • Our STDs were magnets and they were just within the normal postage weight, so we had no problems sending them out with normal postage. I'd weigh them once you get them to make sure, but especially with small magnets they should be fine.

  • Ours were normal postage as well.  I would bring one to the post office to get checked before you send them all out.
  • We had small magnets and a card and they were just a normal price stamp.

  • We got the VP small magnets and mailed them with a postcard (and sometimes a few photos) in each envelope and they were regular postage.

  • We did magnets that were about postcard size from VistaPrint. We used normal postage and it was just fine! :) If you are worried, take it to USPS and have it weighed to be sure.

  • We had the large magnets from VP and used one regular stamp. We didn't have any problems!
  • One stamp was ok for ours. We weighed one before we bought the stamps just to sure.
