So, I have to preface that I love my FMIL. I probably talk to her more than FI does and we have a great relationship. So with that being said she has been helping me with the ceremony decor. We are getting married at an outdoor amphitheater that has this weird billboard thing in the middle of the stage. The original idea was to cover it with curtains. FMIL said she would measure and find curtains (she lives near the venue.. and I live in another state)
Thinking we were doing curtains.. I decided to make a silk rose petal curtain/garland to hang in front for some extra design. I just got the rose petals in the mail last night. I text FMIL about something else wedding related last night and she sends me a text about how her and my FSIL are going to show me a drawing of what THEY are doing with the billboard thing. I told her about my flower idea and she told me it wouldn't work with their idea. Grr! I honestly don't mind them designing something and have total confidence in them. (everything FSIL does is beautiful) I just wish they would have asked me instead of telling me. You know a call or email that says hey we have an idea and want to know what you think. I also don't know what to do with the Silk Rose petals know. I can't use them on the aisle because they are silk and we would have to clean them up after the ceremony.
Anyone have ideas for a DIY project using silk rose petals.
I also made sure to ask if they had anything else they were planning that I should know about; and in the future to just ask me.
