I bought a dress soon after getting engaged, and fell in love with the 5th or 6th dress i tried on. It was perfect for me...then.
When I picked it up, I didn't feel the same about it. It was a size too big (because David's Bridal insisted that was the best idea) and it didnt fit like I wanted it too. I had already paid for the dress in full, so I wasn't about to tell them no way. I thought "Great, I have my wedding dress. Big Check." (This was february of this year)
I recently started shedding some weight (right now, i've lost about 35-40 lbs), just by living a much healthier lifetsyle, and I started to wonder how the dress would look NOW...well let me tell you...it looked horrible..so big, and it was a zipper back so it was not form fitting. Alterations, IMO and everyone elses ,were just out of the question. I needed a new dress.
I decided to go check out some Corset dresses, thinking they would be form fitting, and I was exactly right. I tried on a about 20 dresses (knowing full well that I wasn't going to settle this time!!).
One dress I tried on was absoultely STUNNING. I fell in love with the Maggie Sottero "Melissa Brooch", and although I wasn't planning on it, I bought it on the spot. I LOVE IT and it gave me the feeling that I have been waiting for. AHH! I am now excited for my wedding again

this is the dress I was always meant to wear!!!
I completely forgot to get a picture of me in the dress...but here she is...

so this time its "BIG CHECK! YAY!", and I am back into planning mode, and am really excited to walk down the aisle to the man of my dreams!
