When you were a little girl what did you want to be when you grew up and are you that today?

I wanted to be a lawyer and change the world...today I am not a lawyer, but I am changing the world! Lol, not really I'm in sales.

I also wanted to be a lawyer, but then I found out how long it would take for schooling and I changed my mind. I would of never thought that I'd be at the job I am now.

I wanted to be a pediatrician. Then I got to high school and sucked out in my sciences (more likely from lack of effort rather than lack of ability).

I'm now an accountant.

I wanted to be a detective. Like Sherlock Holmes. Today I am a manufacturing engineer with a degree in electrical engineering. There is actually some detective work involved, though not the kind I had anticipated when I was a kid, which is probably why I love my job so much.

I wanted to be a teacher or a pediatrician.  I worked for a pediatrician's office in high school and I am a teacher now

I wanted to be a vet when i was little because i love animals so much. but then my mom told me that somethings you have to put them asleep and i knew i would never be ok doing that, even though sometimes it is the right thing to do. Today, I'm a nursing student. This fall i start my senior year. I want to work at a cancer center.

I wanted to be a princess and a doctor and a nurse and live in a kiiingdom. 

True life.

I also told my mom she could come live with me.

I wanted to be a teacher or a lawyer. I lost interest once I got into high school, decided college wasn't the right choice for me. I'm now an insurance agent (so I had some schooling), but definitely not where I thought I'd be.

I wanted to go to Harvard and be a lawyer just like Elle Woods (yes, I'm serious) but then an ex bf's stepdad had a talk with me about how I might have to defend people that are guilty and I realized that I just couldn't do that.

I'm not an accountant, and I really do love my job.  When I explain it to my grandmother (who doesn't understand what an accountant is and thinks women could only be a teacher or a nurse) I tell her it's like a lawyer for numbers, which it really is!

When I was very young I wanted to be a princess. Once I realized it was unrealistic I wanted to be an architect as I loved playing legos and building homes. Today, i'm not an architect but close i'm an architectural technologist. So rather than creating the design of the building, I make the technical drawings so it functions and doesn't leak. I absolutely love the challenge of coming up with the details and then see it come to life.

I wanted to be an illustrator of children's book. I drew and sketched all the time. As I grew older, I lost my skills : I'm a stay at home mom now.

When I was little I always wanted to be a vet. Then I worked in a vets office and realized that I could never deal with putting animals to sleep...

So instead I went to school for Respiratory Therapy and I work in a Pediatric ICU.

I wanted to be a vet.  I then realized that I would be responsible for putting animals down and that is something that I can't handle!

I wanted to be a chef or a child psychologist. . . I worked in fine dining for about 7 years. . . worked my A$$ off for very little pay, no benefits or vacation (and if you DO want to take time off, you get a bunch of crap for it), and a total SUCK work environment. Now I'm an assistant manager at a high end fast food restaurant. . . . i *kinda* feel like i sold out, but hey, i'm getting older and things like dental and medical insurance are no longer luxuries i can really afford to go without. i LIKE getting my teeth cleaned twice a year instead of once every 3 or 4! and visiting the doctor when i'm sick and not spending a fortune is AWESOME!
so. . . yeah. i followed my dream for a while, but then i grew up.
