Holy Shhhhh...registry purchase

I'm so pumped.  In the registry thread I said the thing I wanted most on the registry was our hand mixer, and it was purchased!!!!! I'm so happy right now that's literally the only thing that I kept checking for.  Definitely would have bought it on our own if we didn't receive it.

That and the shower dress thread made me realize that holy ess my shower is in less than a month! Everything is happening so fast.

Is there one thing on your registry that you would like to get above all other things? If no one buys it, will you?

  • What china/pans did you register for? So much of our stuff got bought when the shower invitations went out that mom told us to add china haha
  • I had two things I really wanted on mine, my china set and my hand mixer. My grandma and mom bought them for my shower, I am so excited!!!
My shower is exactly a month from today and there are very few things left on my registry :).

  • Mine is also the mixer and I will buy it myself if I have to.  My mom told me she figured she's buying it though so she's been looking at places other than Macy's and if she can get it cheaper she will tell us so we can take it off the registry.
  • The Le Creuset and my mixer. All of them were given to us. :)

  • I really hope somebody buys us our slow cooker. We love slow cooker recipes! The other things are essentials so what we don't get we'll just buy on our own.

I'm jealous that you ladies have your showers so soon! Mine isn't until May so everything is still on our registry.
  • I want all of my china and if I don't get it I'll purchase it all so I know I'll have it in case it's discontinued in the future. I also really want my Kitchenaid mixer and I'm sure my mom and dad will get it for me because I always say how I'm tired of my hand mixer and love her kitchenaid mixer

My shower is April 1st but my invitations just got sent out a few days ago and received today.  The only things already bought are 2/3 of our silverware, vacuum, pyrex dishes, and and meatball maker (FI put it on there as a joke).

Haha! That's funny! I keep telling my mom I hope people actually shop off our registry.
  • Zims, I have my stand mixer already and I love it. I wanted the hand mixer for smaller things, and batches of whipped cream. It's the best.

Our little pile: http://www.weddingbee.com/2012/02/02/registry-stalking-3/ Sorry I cant post pics directly.
  • Yay!

I would love to get the mixer on my registry.  I'm betting I won't get it due to the price so I will get it with the complete the registry discount afterwards.

  • I already got my kitchen aid mixer! It makes me super happy!
  • Meh. I really don't need a hand mixer. I was professionaly trained with a kitchen aid stand mixer and do absolutely everything with a mixer or by hand.
I really hope someone buys me the whip attachment.

  • I want the red KitchenAid knife set! I went to "visit" it at Target tonight. I'll be buying as soon as we get back from the HM if no one buys it for us!
  • Nice, Diamond! Peachy, my stand mixer is a 6qt so it's almost impossible to make small batches.  Sometimes I just want to make a few cupcakes and enough frosting for just that, I'd have to make a normal/huge batch with the stand mixer.  I work out, but hand whipping cream takes forever and is a workout, just not worth it to me.
  • The VW double invitation frame would make me so happy! I already got my really important stuff - the Calphalon complete pot set, the toasting flutes and cake cutter and server.

We got some other stuff too but those were the biggies - I'm not much of a baker so the kitchen stuff isn't going to be a real priority to me. The bedding set would be next after the invitation frame and then anything after that.

We've been lucky - the registry items have been going pretty fast so we're considering whether or not to add more stuff or just let the registries be completed. At this point, it's the stuff we need and one big ticket item we want so we're not too worried.
