If you're bored..I need help/ideas (long & PIP)

I am so lost as to what to do for hair & jewelry. If you're bored and want to give me some input I'd appreciate it

Here's the dress (on model):

and on me--when I bought it (it still hasn't come in yet so I don't have any pictures where it actually fits me)




There is a bit of "bling" on the top at the neckline and on the side/back




Here are my thoughts. For my hair I want something "up" but low on my head. Or to the side. If that makes sense. The ceremony is outside and I don't want it blowing all over. I am unsure of a veil. I know it would mean a lot to my grandma but I don't personally care if I wear one or not. If I did a veil I wouldn't want it over my face when I come down the aisle or anything. I kind of like birdcage veils but I don't know if that would look good with my dress :-/

I would like some kind of hair accessory. I like headbands, hair flowers and hairclips (individually..I wouldn't do all of them!) but I am struggling to find something that I love and I guess with the uncertainity of the veil I don't know which direction to go in. I like crystals and/or pearls. This is the thing I've liked the most so far that I've found but it's too expensive. I do have very dark hair so whatever I put in it will probably "pop" a lot.




I do want to wear earrings. I don't think I want to wear a necklace. FI's only request is that I got a strapless dress so he can see my collarbones (apparently I have nice collarbones) so I don't want to distract from that lol. Should I do fancier earrings then?

I'm so confused. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. If you made it this far, bless you.

What about something like the above picture.  I'm thinking low side bun with some curls/waves showing.  I like the long earrings.  A necklace may be disctracting from the dress detail and the collarbones.  I think a jeweled clip in the bun or a veil would work. Hope that helps!

I wish I could help you on this, but I'm having the same dilema.
I have no idea how to wear my hair! What style, what accessories, etc. I know I'm wearing a veil for the ceremony, but taking it off after pictures.

So, needless to say, I'm no help but will be "listening in" on the conversation.

I think as far as the style of the dress personally I wouldnt do a birdcage. I could totally see a hair clip or a headband. I made a compromise with my veil. I really didn't want one, but my Mom wanted me to wear one so I got a one layer elbow length veil that I will wear for the ceremony and pictures. I will then take it out for the reception, but am wearing a rhinestoned headband the entire time. What about something like this for the hair?! FWIW, I'm only doing earrings and a bracelet (and then my e-ring and wedding ring of course). 

My dress isn't super fancy or intricate, but sometimes I think simpler is better, especially if you want to do a headband. My earrings are pearls with a drop sapphire (I'm pretty sure - there my aunts, so I haven't actually seen them in person) and then the bracelet is a three strand of pearls with sapphire connectors.

I like that! I'm thinking I may need some "side-sweeping bangs" in the upcoming months...that seems to be pretty popular in a lot of the hair-dos. Thanks for your help!

I LOVE sparkly headbands.  I included the pic of the one that I got.  I didn't want to spend a ton on one and I found this one for about $70.  It had just the right amount of sparkle for me.  I think it looks great with people that have darker hair because of the contrast.

My advice is to find the one piece that you love, and then build the rest around that. If you find a beautiful sparkly headband, then go for simpler earrings. If you love extravegant earrings, then go for a simpler headband, or maybe a pretty hair comb in the back. Hair combs also look really pretty with the type of hairstyle you like. I would say no necklace, since your neckline is sparkly and pretty without it.

I think a simple headband would look great. I think a longer elbow length veil with no trim and scattered crystals would look beautiful. I would do a two-tier veil, so you could have the option to wear the blusher and because I think it looks better. I would get tear drop style earrings, nix the necklace, and do a bracelet (not a chunky one though). This is just my opinion, take from it what you want.

You're dress is beautiful! Definitely think it would look nice with some crystals in your hair. I think you should go for the tiara. I am also undecided about the veil. I think I will get one And just not put it Over my face. So you can do that too. Or I think the birdcage veil would work well with your dress. Since you're not Wearing a necklace, I would definitely have some fun with fancy earrings. Good luck!
