My mom is so hard to shop for! What is everyone else getting their mom?

Probably a nice card, and lunch somewhere. We really don't do big gifts on special occassions. Oh, but the card always makes her cry!

I'm hoping my mom will come up to visit me for the weekend and I can take her to dinner or something. I'm not sure on a gift, she is easy to shop for so its just a matter of getting out and finding something. Probably a book and maybe a bottle of wine.

I was browsing 1800flowers.com a few minutes ago.  They have cute, but fairly expensive, baskets and boxes.  One of the baskets was a "breakfast" theme, filled with syrup, pancake mix, etc.  My parents love to make homemade breakfast on Sundays, so I think I might make my own breakfast basket for my Mom!

I bought my mom 4 books she really wanted.  I wasn't planning on it but I found them for a really great price while I was in OH, so it worked out great!

I have the same problem. My mom is impossible to shop for because she doesn't like anything anyone gets her. We don't have the best of relationships so I usually don't get her a mushy card but I usually at least get her a funny card and usually a gift certificate somewhere.

Flowers most likely. My mom thinks every gift she gets from any of us kids is too much lol

My mom is impossible to shop for too, but lately we've been getting here these charity type gifts from the click-to-give websites:

Something simple like feeding an orphan for a year means so much to that child and my mom really really loves it.  It's different than a generic gift to charity because you see what your donation actually does and you get a little certificate to put with it and everything.  We'll also buy products from those websites because the proceeds go to the charities.

I typically just get something small and/or bring her out for supper. My mom's hard to shop for as well not cause she's picky but she's a tomboy who doesn't have too many hobbies.

But I saw this <--- clicky here, on Groupon and thought my mom would love something like that cause it's personal. It's Frame the alphabet and have liked it for a while, so I used my family's last name.

Last year we got FMIL a wooden wine rack. She doesn't drink wine, but the decor on it was really pretty, and she ended up weaving stems/plants through it. It looks pretty cool now.

We also go the route of proflowers.com. Those vases of flowers last at least 3 weeks. 

Another good idea is anything pampering...mani/pedi, massage etc. At least I'd love those gifts

I don't have a relationship with my own mom anymore, so it's fun to be able to get stuff for FMIL, especially when she is so appreciative. She doesn't like big gifts and actually seems upset if it looks like we spend a lot of money on her, but flowers sent to her office, she just fawns over it!

I just ordered a Wolfermann's gift basket for my mom.  We're still trying to come up with what to send FI's mom.

But on a side note...yay! I get to celebrate my first mothers day Having my bebe is enough of a gift for me!

I'm taking giving my mom a gift card to the salon she goes too. She is hard to by for as well but she loves to treat herself to a mani/pedi.

We are doing cards and then taking them out to a nice Mother's Day brunch. We did the same last year and they loved it! Looks like we may have started a new tradition

Aww! Thanks! We will do the pedicures on a different day than mothers day so that we can spend the day with my dad, Carter and FI as well... we normally go to church.... nice lunch and take out the grandmas. The way I look at it... my mom and grandmas have been mothers longer and to more kids and I like to center the day around them. :) Seeing them happy makes me happy! :)

@chelsea-you are so sweet.  i love that you put your mother and g-mothers at the forefront, but you are not be overlooked!  i think carter is pretty lucky to have you as his mom!
@urchin-congrats on your first monther's day (soon)

my dad and step-mom will be in town because i graduate with my masters the day before (yay!) so we will go out to brunch at a nice restaurant in town.  i got jewelry for all our moms this year (my mom, my step-mom, and FI's mom).  and cards, of course
