I had a question for you ladies, my best friend and MOH found out she is pregnant and due to have her second baby in July. My wedding is on June 1st. All my other girls have ordered their dresses and I am having them get whatever style they want in the same color (cornflower blue from davi'd bridal.) So my question is when should she get her dress or if there will be any dresses she will be able to wear when she is 8 months pregnant?

There are maternity bridesmaid dresses. I would check the David's Bridal website, and show her the different maternity dresses they offer. If they don't, check out other designers. Congratulations to your friend!

When I was at David's Bridal there was a pregnant bridesmaid who was supposed to have already had her baby, but the baby was late and she had one more week to go. When she purchased her bm dress she order her somewhat normal size because she had been pregnant before and went early with her first and was relatively smaller framed. They were going to alter her dress to fit around her pregnant belly even thought it was too small. I would say she should have an idea based on her previous pregnancies and how she is carrying her baby to estimate a bigger size and then have it altered to fit her. I think as long as the dress is the same color and fabric she could get away with a maternity dress too.

Agree with PP about getting a bigger size and checking out DB BM dresses.

Thanks guys! Should she order a dress soon and guess the size or how close to the wedding should she wait to order one?

Ask David's Bridal. They know how long a dress would take to come in and I'm sure they've dealt with pregnant bridesmaids before. Remember, it's generally easier to make a dress smaller if it's too big than it is to make it larger if it's too small.

My MOH will be 7 mos preggers by our wedding. We went to David's Bridal and they had a little 'baby bump' for her to place under her dress to help gauge how far along she would be. It really helped in figuring out the right size. She's normally an 8 and we went with a 14 so we could alterate it if needed.
