Yay for my sister!

So some of you may remember a while back I posted about sending good vibes to my sister for one of her PT school interviews. Well she's done interviewing and interviewed at 5 school. She's heard back from some and found out she got into Duke today!!! I know we don't always see eye to eye but I'm so proud of her! I just wish I could've seen hers and my parents reactions...she got a full ride to college and my mom started crying because we were really tough off from my dad being laid off for no reason and she had even thought of selling her e ring to help pay for our college. Sorry I'm just so happy!

Wow that is great news! I am so glad she didn't have to sell her ring, that would have been so terrible!!

My dad never would've let her. It was a rough time for our family. My dad got laid off by our uncle, didn't qualify for unemployment, then my mom's work screwed her. She worked pretty much full time but wouldn't let her go officially full time. Corporate decided to cut all part time hours to 10 a week and she'd lose family health insurance as well. Luckily she got an interview lined up right away with a local company and they loved her. She works there now is the manager of their newest pharmacy and my dad recently got promoted!

It's about an hour an a half from me, but not too far. North Carolina is such a beautiful state and we really have everything. Great food and culture, beaches, mountains, lakes, and good ole Southern hospitality.
