How to afford extra gifts?

So I already bought my bridesmaids gifts awhile ago- an assortment of "emergency" stuff for the wedding day (tylenol, kleenex, bandaids, nailpolish, etc), plus some girly stuff like lotion, candles, flipflops, makeup. I planned on spending $25-30 per girl, and spent exactly that much. I spent an extra $10 on my MOH and bought her a pair of earrings.

Then this weekend was my bachelorette party. We had an AWESOME time and I feel like I should do more for them, or at the very least for my MOH since she organized the whole thing- not to mention taking care of my drunk ass all night. The trouble is, I already maxed out my $30 budget per person. Any CHEAP ideas on how to add to the gifts? I had so much fun that I feel like I really need to add something more to say thank you for being in my bridal party.

  • What about a really nice personalized note on cardstock with a picture of you two in a nice frame?

  • I made my BM personalized hangers. The set of 5 hangers was $4 at KMart and the wire was like $5 at Michael's.

You could also burn them a CD of your favorite songs, and pair it with the idea above - you can get $1 frames at Michael's that are super easy to jazz up with scrapbooking paper and ModgePodge along with some buttons, ribbons or whatever else you chose.  Here is a frame I made, cost me about $3.

  • I agree with the PPs. I also made hangers for my girls, but I used stickers in stead of wire.

  • I'm doing what Peachy said and putting a picture of each girl and me in a frame with a backstory of how we met, what the wedding day means to me with them being there, etc.
